Discovered Pasts
Sam Petherbridge explores the belief that we can only be created, through observing the beauty of an individual and their teachings. Sam dwells on this theory through his own life, pulling together his own friends and family (the individuals), displaying their personalities, in jars. Tea Leaf Arts invites you to bring along a jar (mason jars, glass jars, big jars, small jars, specimen jars, jam jars) and respond to art work by guest artist.

Olympia
Hee Seung Sung exhibits paintings immersed in dreams and desire. Originally from South Korea, she is a painter, photographer and video artist exploring her place in a city and an art world that are increasingly entrepreneurial. Sung is a young woman not afraid to play with the idea of innocence, nor present her femininity in terms of desire. She is willing to lose herself in it all, without making a tragic heroine of herself. It seems natural to learn that Sung summarizes her life as an artist with a quote by William Blake: ‘I must create a system or be enslaved by another man; I will not reason and compare; my business is to create.
